Institutes and Centres Abroad

To enable students and researchers to conduct field studies in other contries and cultures, the University of Copenhagen has set up a number of institutes and centres abroad.

  • Arctic Station in Greenland
    The Arctic Station is located on the south coast of the Disko Island in central west Greenland. The station provides the University of Copenhagen reseachers with the opportunity to study Arctic nature and environment.
  • The Danish Egyptian Dialogue Institute (DEDI)
    An independent institute in Egypt working to promote a broader understanding, inspiration and appriciation between Europe and the Arab World.
  • The Danish Institute in Athens
    The Institute promotes research, teaching and cultural understanding of Greek Mediterranean archeology, history, language, literature, art and architecture.
  • The Danish Institute in Damascus
    The Institute is a forum for the exchange of culture and scholarship between Denmark and the Arab and Muslim worlds.
  • European Centre for Chinese Studies (no website)
    Centre for education and research cooperation, language courses and cultural exchange with Peking University.
  • Nordic Centre at Fudan University
    Centre for cooperation between Nordic and Chinese students at Fudan University in Shanghai.
  • Nordic Centre in India
    Centre for cooperatioin between Nordic and Indian institutions for research and education with a local office in Delhi.
