International partnering – we succeed together

Dear International Partners,

Thank you for your continuous support and cooperation. It is of great value to us. With your support we exchange students; academic and administrative staff, we benchmark international programmes and we learn the latest international trends. Your partnership brings an international outlook to the University of Copenhagen, and your students help us internationalize our campus areas, contributing diversity to the city of Copenhagen.

Stay connected

During the first 6 months of 2015 University of Copenhagen hosted a number of delegations and visited a range of our partner universities. Through this international partner newsletter we hope to stay connected with you throughout the year. We see it as an opportunity of sharing our focus areas as well as sharing what we are currently working on; whom we are visiting and at which conferences you can meet us. In this first volume we have customized partner information on how we work with international education. In the upcoming volumes of the newsletter we aim to focus on University of Copenhagen’s academic events, student activities and international affairs.

International Partner Newsletter Volume 1

With this newsletter we hope to have caught your attention for at least 5 reasons:

The calendar – connect with us; a permanent feature of the newsletter is the calendar. The calendar identifies where we are, if you would like to connect or re-connect with us.

Funding opportunities; University of Copenhagen has received Erasmus+  funds for incoming students from non EU university partners from a range of countries. We can apply for funding with international partners again in 2016.

Interdisciplinary Summer Courses; University of Copenhagen has developed a range of new flagship of interdisciplinary summer courses. The summer courses are available for your students.

Ambitious Outbound Mobility Growth; 2100 students from UCPH study abroad on a yearly basis – we rely on excellent partners in order to succeed.

Conferences, Symposium and International Visits; we hosted the Nordic Centre India annual general assembly, the annual NETL conference and in the early spring we invited 15 partners to a symposium to share thoughts on how to design successful international master’s programs.

Our ambition is to release the international partner newsletter 4 times per year. Please provide us with your feedback on specific articles or suggest topics you would like to learn more of.

Best regards,

Trine Sand
International Director
