UCPH facing outward at EAIE 2018

EAIE

Once again, we are getting ready for Europe’s largest international higher education conference, EAIE. This year, the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is taking part in five sessions discussing best practices and challenges in higher ed. We are looking forward to meeting our international partners in Geneva and we hope to see many of you joining our sessions for interesting discussions and knowledge sharing.

5 UCPH sessions with international partners

As the 30th Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition is approaching, UCPH is preparing its sessions in cooperation with great international colleagues. The sessions span five quite different topics, assembling UCPH’s perspectives and ambitions to face outward in its global commitment through systematic career management, faculty engagement in student mobility, online tools for student retention, mentorships for women professionals in education and supporting teacher development in building the international classroom.

The session on how to win faculty engagement for student mobility focuses on the positive impact of faculty buy-in in securing student mobility programmes. Facilitating female leadership in International Higher Ed invites you to learn more about the newly formed Global Leadership League and discuss the impact of mentorships for supporting the community of women professionals in education.

A partnership approach to international classrooms addresses the need for continuing professional development of university teachers engaged in successful internationalisation efforts. Key lessons from successful university career-development initiatives promises tools and services for best practices in preparing students and staff for their career development. Finally, the poster session about monitoring dropout rates offers insight into UCPH’s retention strategy for international full-degree students and the use of online tools for data analysis to help understand student patterns and reduce dropout rates.

Meet us in Geneva

We would also like to invite you to meet with us outside of the sessions. You can always ask for us at the Danish booth K37, or book a meeting with us in advance – we are looking forward to seeing you in Geneva!
